Commercial Chimney Services
The purpose of a chimney is to safely vent the by-products of combustion and incomplete combustion out of your building and into the outside air. By-products of incomplete combustion are substances like smoke, creosote, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and acidic water vapor. Chimneys require regular service to function properly.
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) states that "chimneys, fireplaces and vents shall be inspected at least once a year. The scope of the inspection, the areas of the chimney examined, and the degree of invasiveness of the inspection shall be appropriate for the conditions giving rise to the inspection."
Inspections
We always begin our chimney service by inspecting the chimney.
Level One Inspection
Includes an on-site and (if possible) on-the-roof visual inspection of the condition of the chimney.
Level Two Inspection
Includes an interior camera scan of the chimney, so you will know what hazards may exist inside the chimney. We recommend a Level Two Inspection for real estate transactions, thermal shock/chimney fires, soot backups and lightning strikes.
Insurance Investigation
We do this specialized inspection while assisting an insurance adjustor, fire investigator, or structural engineer to determine the causes of severe damage to a chimney or building. It involves demolition of all or part of the chimney. It may also include an interior camera scan. It includes all other photo and written documentation.Note: All inspections are done by a technician trained and certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) and/or National Fireplace Institute (NFI) and Fireplace Investigation, Research and Education (F.I.R.E.).

Digital and Video Documentation
Many times, the only way to determine the safety and proper function of a chimney system is to do a video inspection
of the interior of the chimney. Our cameras are especially made for this job. They provide clear viewing on the monitor
and digital or video recording of the chimney’s interior condition. This service has ended the question of whether or
not the chimney needs relining. You can see it for yourself. The digital photos and video recording can be given to
an insurance company to prove the existing damage, the cause of the damage and the need for repairs. Many insurance
policies will cover the cost of repairing damage due to a ‘sudden occurrence’ such as a chimney fire.
